What a year! Is it really only June? In March we released the new ‘Rise Up For Love’ album in the USA and it has been one heck of a ride. The support of our fans in San Diego has just been unbelievable and on the road as well. Making this album was truly one of the best experiences of my life. I am so grateful people are connecting with the it! It makes the songs happy and is truly a dream come true : )
It seems that in each city we play another radio station picks up the album! As of now the ‘Rise Up for Love’ album is being aired on 40+ stations throughout the USA & Canada, and charting on 11. After our Denver show, the album hit #3 on KAFM Colorado just below the Black Keys latest Release!! A HUGE thank you to all the college radio stations and fans for your support it all helps so much!
We just completed our Spring tour to Chicago, New York, Boston, Denver and more! This tour we played some beautiful venues(Mayne Stage Chicago definite highlight WOW what a venue!) and it was so incredible to reconnect with soul friends along the way – the love was wonderfully overwhelming! We also met some great musicians and friends in the scene – a couple members of Theivery Corporation stopped in at a bar near Boston on their day off and blessed the place musically – it was great to meet them. Bass players advice: live within your means. And I agree!!
SUMMERTIME brings our upcoming West Coast USA tour in July & CANADA in August! We will be bringing the same TRIO that braved the Canadian winter in 2013, and who tracked on the ‘Rise Up For Love’ album!
As for July, we just got into SOHO opening for Henry Kapono July 23rd, which is much like the Belly Up of Santa Barbara, and will be playing at Gilroy’s Garlic Festival July 25th! And CANADA here we come! Our Vancouver CD release will be held at one of my favourite venues in Vancouver – Railway Club Tues Aug 26th! We have a 2 week tour end of August throughout BC (dates posted) with a few more dates pending! It will be incredible to be back home in BC and for an Okanagan summer – it’s unreal there. We will be joining Canada’s acclaimed Arkell’s at Sunpeak’s Festival in Kamloops Aug 31st!
Fall 2014: Key West here we come! More dates TBA! East Coast, international!
What a whirlwind. Stoked to break out some new songs this year as well with the band! See you on the road! That will be home for the rest of 2014 🙂
